Initiator groups control which host initiators can access which LUNs. To troubleshoot a LUN that a host can’t access, you need to see exactly which initiators are in each group and which LUNs are mapped to those groups. The command igroup show provides that view: it lists every igroup and its member initiator WWPNs (the hosts’ HBAs) and shows which LUNs are associated with each igroup. With that information you can confirm whether the host’s WWPNs are in the correct igroup and whether that igroup is mapped to the LUN.

Other commands either display WWPNs alone or show LUN errors, but not the current igroup configurations or the mapping relationships necessary to determine access.
